Designed by Ellis Maples in 1954, the 6500 yard course is nestled in a beautiful rural setting that is surprisingly close to the heart of town. Tucked into a rural backdrop of Carolina pines and mature hardwoods, our fairways feature lush bermuda fairways and bentgrass greens. Golfers of all skill levels enjoy both open terrain fairways, with holes following beautiful streams, and inclined fairways rimmed with mature trees and beautiful landscaping.
The opening nine at Pine Brook is a Par 36 that plays 3,250 yards from the back tees and 2,600 yards from the front tees. Junior, Senior and Ladies tees are located at 2,100 yards. The front nine consists of two reachable par 5's, five skillfully crafted par 4's and two demanding par 3's. A player will encounter open terrain, gently rolling fairways and a variety of hazards during their game.
Don’t forget to visit Divots between rounds for a light meal or refreshing drink.
A noticeable terrain change greets players as they approach the back nine, which is also a Par 36. The back nine measures slightly over 3,200 yards from the back tees and 2,600 yards from the front tees, with Junior, Senior and Ladies tees at 2,000 yards. The back nine also contains two very challenging par 5’s. There are five par 4's to test a player's patience and skill with a variety of clubs. Water hazards flank both of our par 3 holes, with undulating greens adding to the challenge on hole # 15.
Our driving range comprises over one-third of an acre, providing ample teeing space for members who wish to practice. The range tee has a synthetic mat which allows year-round practice opportunity. We also maintain five target greens, ranging in length from 50 yards to just over 250 yards. Complimentary range balls are provided to all club members and their guests.
Pine Brook also has two putting greens, one of which is a two-tier design, located at both the first and tenth tee. For your short game, a chipping green flanked by a bunker gives you the opportunity to hone your skills with sand shots.
Pine Brook sponsors a variety of public and private golf tournaments each year. In addition to members-only and member-guest events, we host corporate golf outings and community fundraisers. Pine Brook hosted a qualifier for the US Amateur Championship in 1998. |
